Cold Weather

The absolute worst thing about Minnesota is the bitter cold winters, and especially here, it always seems to be ridiculously windy. I tend to not leave my room nearly as much as I would if it had been nice and warm outside. I usually gain a few pounds during a very long cold stretch, just because it is terrible to try and walk over to the gym, and then try to come back while still sweaty and turn into a popsicle. I also hate the cold, because my car will NEVER start if it is below 10 degrees, so wherever I am, I'm pretty much stuck there. Normally, the cold doesn't bother me a whole ton, but if its below 20, it just puts me in a worse mood, because then the sun is hardly ever out either, and it seems like the whole world is grey. And lastly, I've always found it ironic that whenever it seems to be insanely cold outside, all talk about global warming goes away, because I swear it keeps getting colder every single winter.

Favorite Song

This assignment is a little hard for me because I love tons of different kinds of music, and I've never really thought of any of it as describing myself. I am a huge Incubus fan, so one of my all time favorite songs has to be "Drive." The song's main verse includes the phrase "whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there, with open arms and open eyes." To me, that signifies that the songwriter will always be there for the person that they are describing, looking at things with no bias.
"Drive," I hope, would describe myself to my friends, because I try not to be too judgemental, and it would take something really extreme for me to not be there for any one of them. I also love this song because it is has pretty chill sort of vibe, but also keeps moving along with some awesome lyrics.

Favorite Place

My favorite place that I have ever visited is one of two cities, either Chicago, IL or Denver, CO. The first place that I visited was Denver about three years ago. I loved the city because it is where I was born, and I got to see where we used to live and everything. I also really liked it because I loved the whole vibe of the town, it was a place with a lot to do, and everyone there seemed really laid back and friendly.
The other one of my favorites was visiting Chicago. I absolutely loved the city and everything it had to offer. I'm pretty sure that I could live there for years and be able to find something new about it every single day. My dream is to eventually end up working in either city building bridges or buildings. I want to live in a bigger city, just because there are so many opportunities to live your dream, whatever it might be.
